Improve
Operational Efficiency Do
these comments sound familiar? ü We
want to improve our operational efficiency and lower
costs but we don’t want to sacrifice
quality. ü
We always
react to problems rather than getting
out in front of them. ü
We fix
symptoms rather than address causes. ü
Some of our regular work
is more complex than it needs to be. In
today’s environment, businesses must improve operational efficiency and lower
costs while maintaining or improving customer satisfaction. This can be
accomplished through Six Sigma process improvement, use of quality tools, or via
holistic approaches used by state and national quality award programs.
Consultant Cheryl Vickroy has an MBA in Quality Management with consulting experience
in Six Sigma process improvement and assessment of organizational performance
using the criteria of the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award. Her guidance
is credited with improving operational efficiency of a state agency, resulting
in two unanimous bi-partisan Wisconsin Legislative Joint Finance Committee votes
to rescind budget cuts/award new program funding during a time of budget shortfall.
The
